Areas of Study

General practice

General Practice

Law students often choose to pursue a general law curriculum because they want a career as a solo practitioner or in a small firm—in a large city, but also in a small town, where attorneys are in high demand. Choosing a general practice path can also simply prepare you to be versatile in your career in the public, nonprofit or private sectors.

St. Thomas Law offers a broad, yet distinctive curriculum that combines practical skills, theoretical knowledge and comprehensive mentoring to prepare you to achieve your professional ambitions.

And since our campus is located in downtown Minneapolis, you will be near the state and federal courts, state legislature, major law firms and businesses to explore your career options as a law student.
