J.D. + Concentration

Law, Artificial Intelligence & Evolving Technologies

Concentration in Law, Artificial Intelligence & Evolving Technologies

Technology competence has never been more important to law practice than now. First, rapidly developing AI technologies are making fundamental changes in lawyers’ day-to-day work. Lawyers who are comfortable with AI will be much more likely to thrive. Second, industries and areas of law involving technology—AI, blockchain, biotechnology, cybersecurity, intellectual property and information/data privacy—are growing and evolving rapidly. Clients need lawyers who understand both the legal and technical elements of technology innovations to advise on the complex legal, ethical and regulatory challenges they raise.

Adding the Law, AI and Evolving Technologies concentration to your J.D. will show employers your passion for this area of law as well as the knowledge and skills to contribute immediately as a member of their team. You can pair these cutting-edge strengths with St. Thomas Law’s nationally recognized experiential learning and professional mentoring.
