The Twin Cities and Our Campus

The University of St. Thomas School of Law is located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minneapolis and the nearby capital city of St. Paul, also known as the Twin Cities, make up the core of the metropolitan area and include contemporary skylines, historic architecture, park trails and greenways, lakes and the Mississippi and Minnesota rivers. The two cities and the surrounding suburbs have a population of more than 3.7 million residents. The Twin Cities area is the business, entertainment and cultural center of the upper Midwest.

Downtown Minneapolis

Minneapolis is the perfect blend of natural beauty and urban sophistication, and with our location in the heart of downtown, students at the University of St. Thomas School of Law benefit from it all. Eight miles of indoor skyways connect the School of Law to downtown Minneapolis law firms, businesses, restaurants, shops and housing.

The St. Thomas Minneapolis Campus

St. Thomas School of Law occupies a beautiful 150,000 square foot building at the corner of 11th Street and Harmon Place in downtown Minneapolis, near the federal courthouse and major law firms and businesses. It is part of University of St. Thomas, which has campuses in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

The Twin Cities and Minnesota Legal Community

With our downtown location, St. Thomas School of Law is right in the middle of the region's lively legal community. We also have strong ties and connections to attorneys working in greater Minnesota. The entire Minnesota bench and bar has embraced the School of Law through the Mentor Externship Program, summer employment opportunities and by participating in a variety of conferences and events.

Parking and Transportation

Student parking permits and discounted Metro Transit passes are available. St. Thomas also operates a university shuttle bus that transports St. Thomas students, faculty and staff between the St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses.
