About the Law Library
The Schoenecker Law Library is dedicated to providing a dynamic and innovative environment that will connect, motivate and empower the research, publication and educational goals of the faculty, students and staff of the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
The Schoenecker Law Library covers four floors on the south wing of the School of Law. The main entrance to the library is located on the second floor, which is the center of student activity. The library’s help desk (circulation and reference services), computer lab and reference and reserve collections are also located on the second floor.
For our law students, there are twelve group study rooms located throughout the library and individual study rooms on the first and lower level. In addition to the group study rooms, there is a variety of formal and informal study space available including comfortable seating areas, tables and carrels.
The Schoenecker Law Library is currently closed to the public.

Hours are based on when the service desk is staffed. Current law students can access the library at any time with their St. Thomas ID.
For Students and Faculty
Current law students and faculty have access to full library services, class support, research help and other services.
For Alumni and members of the Bar
Alumni and members of the bar have access to research help services. Alumni also have access to online databases while visiting the library in-person.

Our Name
The Schoenecker Law Library is named in honor of Guy and Barbara Schoenecker in recognition of the first major gift to the School of Law. Guy Schoenecker, an alumnus of the University of St. Thomas, was the founder, chairman and chief executive officer of BI Worldwide and a former trustee of the University of St. Thomas.
