Cristina Calderón is the director of global outreach for the University of St. Thomas School of Law. In this role, she is responsible for global recruiting of lawyers for the LL.M. in U.S. Law program and maintaining relationships with partner institutions at an international scale. She also provides support to current LL.M. students.
Following her upbringing in Minnesota and Spain, Cristina earned her B.A. in International Studies and Hispanic Studies from Macalester College in 2006. Cristina began her career as a teacher in the Bronx as part of the Teach For America program, where she taught English learners and earned her M.S.T. in English as a Second Language (ESL) from Pace University in 2008. Cristina spent 12 years working in education in New York, Australia and Boston in a variety of roles, including leading professional development and Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness programming. Most recently, Cristina led the Program Operations team at Teach For America-Massachusetts, where she oversaw operations and compliance and was the liaison for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Boston University.
