Mike has more than 30 years of leadership expertise in advancement for nonprofit and for-profit organizations such as the University of Minnesota and the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. He has secured more than $300 million in capital, endowments and operational support for diverse organizations, including educational institutions, churches, foundations and government and community organizations. During his 11 years with the University of Minnesota, Mike acquired the philanthropic support necessary to fund 25 sports and 730 student-athletes, raising millions for the athletic program’s annual fund, capital projects and endowments.
Mike, his wife Danette, and their twin 19-year-old daughters, Elizabeth and Alanna, enjoy volunteering at their parish, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Edina, Minn., as well as at the St. Lawrence Newman Center in Minneapolis. Mike serves as the secretary-treasurer for St. John Paul II Catholic School in northeast Minneapolis. Mike and Danette also serve as ambassadors and members of the development committee for an international non-profit, NF2 BioSolutions.
Hobbies include spending time outdoors with family – fly fishing, biking, running and visiting the stables of the family horse, North.
